According to the Annual Report of the Central Geological Prospecting Fund (2014), released by the Central Geological Prospecting Fund Management Center recently, there are 95 mineral exploration projects in China to carry out field geological work in 2014, with a total of 192983 cubic metres of trench exploration and 254300 metres of drilling completed, adding another batch of prospecting results for the country.

According to reports, these mineral exploration projects are mainly continuation projects, with a total of four new projects. Among them, 11 projects have explored mineral areas and submitted a certain level of resources, and its representative results include uranium, coal, rare earth and other minerals.

As for uranium deposits, great progress has been made in the uranium survey project in the western part of Daying, Inner Mongolia, and a new chapter has been written, i.e. & ldquo; Daying brilliance . The project initially controls the amount of uranium resources to reach the scale of large-scale mineral deposits, delineates three prospecting targets, pushes the uranium mineralization belt 20 km west, and discovers new uranium mineralization horizons, which greatly expands the prospecting space for uranium deposits in the Ordos Basin.

As for coal, 11 coal pre-survey projects in Zhungeer Coalfield National Planning Area of Inner Mongolia have completed field work and recovered 37.8 billion tons of resources, which is a super-large coalfield. The project also carries out exploration and comprehensive evaluation of kaolin, bauxite, associated aluminium and lithium and other minerals.

In terms of potassium salt, two brine potassium salt survey projects in Western Qaidam Basin of Qinghai Province have achieved good prospecting results. Preliminary estimates show that the amount of potassium chloride resources submitted can exceed 200 million tons, which shows the great potential of potassium prospecting in deep Qaidam Basin.

As for rare earth, 17 ore bodies were delineated by the Census Project of Xuanhe Mining Area, Liancheng County, Fujian Province. The estimated amount of rare earth oxide resources is 216,700 tons, reaching a large scale. Fifty-two ore bodies have been delineated by the survey project of Jinqiao mining area, Wuping County, Fujian Province. The estimated amount of rare earth oxide resources in the whole area is 63.5 million tons, reaching medium-sized scale.

In addition, important achievements have also been made in the field of copper polymetals. New progress has been made in prospecting for the key breakthrough areas of Zhuxi Tungsten-Copper Mine in Jiangxi Province. Among them, the Tongwu-Leping Baishuwu Copper Polymetallic Mine in Fuliang County has discovered thick copper-tungsten orebody in the early stage of provincial fund and preliminarily controlled the prospect of the deposit to reach super large scale. On the basis of the discovery of relatively shallow buried and high-grade rich orebody, which has improved the present situation. The economic value of mining development, the survey of lunar copper polymetallic deposits in Leping City, found multi-layered copper-rich orebodies, further expanding the new prospecting space. The report of the general survey project of Deneng Copper Polymetallic Mine in Tuoqin County, Ali, Tibet has been reviewed. The amount of lead, zinc and silver resources has reached medium-sized scale.

As for precious metals, the survey project of rock gold deposits in Ma tungsten mining area of Minxian County, Gansu Province has achieved good prospecting results, with a total of 10.21 tons of gold resources recovered, reaching a medium-sized scale. The Howu Copper Polymetallic Mine Census Project in Wuping County, Fujian Province is expected to submit a medium-sized mineral area with an estimated silver resource of about 860 tons.

In 2014, the Central Geological Prospecting Fund also discovered 14 new mineral sites, including 5 large-scale and above mineral sites, 5 medium-sized and 4 small-scale ones.
