Two graphite deposits were found in Bazhong City

Pinghe Township, Nanjiang County, Bazhong City, has many years of experience in graphite mining, which began in 1926 at the earliest. In that year, manual mining was still the main method, but the total resources was 5.45 million tons. After many years of mining, there are still 3.25 million tons of resources. Because of the limitation of graphite quality, mining technology and market, Pinghe graphite mine is currently in a state of shutdown. According to Li Qi, a member of the Graphite Propulsion Group of the Municipal Economic and Credit Commission, Pinghe Township Graphite Mine is the first discovered graphite ore in Sichuan Province.

Jianshan graphite deposit was unexpectedly discovered by Nanjiang Sitong Mining Co., Ltd. during its copper exploration in 2013. & At present, Jianshancun graphite deposit is still in the stage of prospecting. Three ore bodies have been found in this area, namely, orebody No. 1, orebody No. 2 and orebody No. 3. & According to Li Qi, the exploration report of No. 1 orebody has been completed. The existing amount of graphite resources is 5.35 million tons. Ore No. 2 and No. 3 are in the stage of detailed exploration. The total resources of these two orebodies are estimated to be about 20 million tons. & ldquo; Although the prospecting report for orebody No. 1 has been published, it is still continuing to explore the eastern part of the orebody in order to find more resources. & rdquo; Li Qi said.

It is known that the graphite deposits in Nanjiang County originate from regional metamorphic deposits. Under the metamorphism of the original marble in the deposit, the carbon elements in the marble gradually gather together to form graphite ore.

& Now Bazhong City is rich in mineral resources, such as iron ore, coal mine, nepheline ore, magnetite and so on. & Although the category of mineral resources is wide, there are few superior mineral resources, & ldquo; the discovery and exploration of Jianshan graphite mineral resources have given Bazhong a superior mineral resource, Li said. & rdquo;

Graphite, as a kind of non-metallic mineral material with excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties, is known as & ldquo; Black Gold & rdquo; so-called, at present, Bazhong City has found two origins of graphite, which are located in Pinghe Township of Nanjiang County and Jianshan Village of Yangba Township of Nanjiang County. Recently, Bazhong City began to work out the development plan of graphite industry and strengthen the supervision and allocation of graphite mineral resources. At the same time, mining minerals requires a lot of labor, which will promote employment. Accelerate the economic development of the whole city of Bazhong.
