Low-cement, ultra-low cement and cement-free castables

Words:[Big][Medium][Small] Mobile Page Two-Dimensional Code 2018-10-15

Low-cement, ultra-low cement and cement-free castables are discussed:

Classification of low-cement, ultra-low-cement, and cement-free castables: According to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the CaO content is classified according to the standard. The CaO content of different types of castables is as follows:

Ordinary calcium aluminate cement CaO content>2.5% by weight

Low cement castable CaO content 1~2.5%

Ultra-low cement castable CaO content 0.2~1.0%

Cement-free castable CaO content <0.2%

In low cement, ultra low cement and cementless castables, the dispersant used is mainly sodium silicate (water glass), sodium phosphate (sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate, etc.), and the role of the dispersant is to make The potential of the colloid in the castable is increased to achieve dispersion of the ultrafine powder. Increase the fluidity of the castable and reduce the amount of water used. The flocculant is mostly made of alumina cement (including high alumina cement, alumina cement, pure calcium aluminate cement, etc.). Alumina slowly releases Ca2+ and AL3+ ions when hydrated, which is a good flocculant.

The coagulation and hardening of low-cement and ultra-low cement castables is mainly achieved through the combination of hydration of high alumina cement and condensation of ultrafine powder.

There are many kinds of raw materials for the production of low-cement, ultra-low cement and cement-free castables. The aggregates include clay clinker, bauxite clinker, fused corundum, platy alumina, and zircon. The corresponding fine powders are also different. At present, most of the alumina raw materials are used. The ultrafine powder is mainly silicon micropowder recovered from Tangshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., and also uses AL2O3, Cr2O3 or zircon ultrafine powder, and 5~8% kyanite as casting. The expansion agent is used.
