The central geological prospecting fund has made a further batch of achievements in prospecting

According to the annual report of the central geological prospecting fund (2014) released by the central geological prospecting fund management center, 95 mineral exploration projects in China carried out field geological work in 2014, and completed 192,983 cubic meters of trough exploration and 254,300 meters of drilling, adding a batch of prospecting results to the country.

It is reported that this batch of mineral exploration projects to continue the main project, a total of four new projects.Among them, 11 projects proved the origin of mines and submitted certain levels of resources, with representative achievements including uranium ore, coal, rare earth and other minerals.

In terms of uranium mining, great progress has been made in the uranium prospecting project in the west section of daying, Inner Mongolia, which continues the new chapter of "daying brilliant".The project initially controlled uranium resources up to large scale of mining areas, delineated three prospecting targets, pushed uranium mineralization zone to the west for 20 km, and discovered new uranium mineralization horizon, greatly expanding uranium exploration space in ordos basin.

In terms of coal, 11 coal pre-census projects in the national planning area of the zhunge coalfield in Inner Mongolia have completed field work, and 37.8 billion tons of resources have been discovered, which are super large coalfields.The project also carried out concurrent exploration and comprehensive evaluation of kaolin, bauxite, co-associated aluminum, lithium and other minerals.

In the aspect of potash, good prospecting results have been achieved in the survey project of potash in two brine in the west of qaidam basin of qinghai province.

In terms of rare earth, the rare earth mine survey project in xuanhe mining area, liancheng county, fujian province delineated 17 ore bodies and estimated the amount of rare earth oxides at 216,700 tons, which reached a large scale.The rare earth ore survey project in jinqiao mining area, wuping county, fujian province has delineated 52 ore bodies and estimated the total amount of rare earth oxide in the area at 63,500 tons, which is medium scale.

In addition, important achievements have been made in copper polymetallic fields.Zhu Xi tungsten copper mine in jiangxi province focal area prospecting, the new progress of copper dock - the float saddle county leping cypress dock copper polymetallic deposit, discovered in the early stage of the fund at the provincial level large and thick TongWuKuang body, preliminary control deposit perspective of very large scale, on the basis of discovered relatively shallow burial and high grade of rich ore body, improve the economic value of the future mining development;According to the survey of lune copper polymetallic ore in leping city, multi-layer rich copper ore bodies are found, which further expands the new ore prospecting space.The survey report of deneng copper polymetallic mine in ali cuoqin county, Tibet has been reviewed, and the amount of lead, zinc and silver resources has reached medium scale.

In terms of precious metals, good prospecting results have been achieved in the survey project of rock and gold deposits in maitungsten ore district, minxian county, gansu province, with a total gold resource of 10.21 tons, reaching a medium scale.The census project of hewu copper polymetallic mine in wuping county, fujian province is expected to submit a medium-sized mine with an estimated silver resource of about 860 tons.

In 2014, the central geological prospecting fund also discovered 14 new mineral deposits, including 5 large and above, 5 medium and 4 small ones.
